Tears of Things: 2005

Exploring personal, social and communal significance of a former Belfast Maternity Hospital. Made in response to numerous conversations with former staff of the hospital, parents, those born in the hospital and from the artist’s personal experience, the outcomes were presented in the Ormeau Baths Gallery, Belfast 2005. The exhibition comprised three inter-related elements - drawings, photographs and video work.

The project was developed with the help of the Bass Ireland Award (awarded Nov. 2001) and the Arts Council Northern Ireland grant awarded in April 2004.
